The writing contest is pretty simple.... there is no topic. I just want you to share 
your best work and it will be judged on merit alone. I don't care if your a top selling
author or the 12 year old girl that lives above me. I just care about how well you 
write and if your piece can move me. I have a few guidelines though.

1. All contestants must be a member of the forum. There is currently no post count 
needed, all that I ask is you create an account.
2. All work must be written by you. It can't be a ghost writer or your mom; and you 
can't just steal it from someone's site. It has to be your own creation.
3. No previously published works please, only ones that have never been seen by the 
world's eyes.
4. I would prefer if your work is less then 500 words. It can be greater then that but 
it must be breathtaking. To sum it up, the longer it is then the better it needs to be.
5. All work must be family friendly! If I can't show it to that 12 year old girl that 
lives above me it's not going to win my contest.
6. All work must be PMed to me (ADMIN) through this site. This is to prove that you are a member.
7. The deadline for August's newsletter is July 30th, 2014. Anything submitted after 
this point will be used in next month's contest.
8. There is no entry fee for this contest, however there is no cash prize ether.

For those of you who don't know I run a newsletter that publishes once a month. Pretty cool, I know. It's full of writing and tips for writers. The winner of this contest will be posted in my newsletter's August 1st issue and on the forum August 5th. You do not have to sign up for the newsletter to enter, but if you don't want to wait 5 days it wouldn't hurt. You can sign up here.
