For 7/8 years now, with my partner and my team (I have a digital marketing consulting agency of around thirty people), we have developed (for our clients more than for us) an approach to digital marketing driven by data (the famous Big Data that we season a little with all the sauces) .
We do (among other things) Data Marketing . The observation that we made at the time and that we still make very often today is that many brands, from small businesses to international groups, have an approach to web marketing, still very much marked by the main principles of Mass communication. Media, that is to say a PUSH approach, consisting of using the various existing web channels (sites, blogs, infographics, social networks, newsletters, ads, emailing, content, inbound marketing, white papers, etc.) as so many channels of communication through which we will try to make ourselves visible to the consumers (BtoC) or buyers (BtoB) that we target. Today we still seek to communicate massively by trying to optimize points of contact and to try to make our offer visible by all possible means. Problems : It doesn't work very well.
